With over 260 castles in Aberdeenshire you’re bound to find one (or more!) that appeal.

We have a list of local eateries many of which are dog friendly.

From the 14 mile long stretch of beautiful sand at Balmedie (which culminates in the famous seals beach at Newburgh) to the rock formations at Cullen and Macduff, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

There are various farm visits for the kids (and grown ups!) and other local amenities such as soft play, outdoor activity centres and a trampoline park.

Aberdeenshire and the surrounding highlands are famous for our distilleries.  They range from our wee local Glen Garioch to the producer of one world’s best selling single malt whiskey’s Glenfiddich.

Whether you prefer a tootle around the fairy garden or a hike up Bennachie (528m above sea level), we are well set up for all abilities.
